Seamus Power eagled the final hole on his opening round at the Sony Open in Hawaii on the PGA Tour yesterday to finish on level par.
In what was a slightly frustrating round where he failed to capitalise on a solid driving display, a round of 70 sees him currently positioned just outside the top 50.
An afternoon tee time later on Friday will give him a slight advantage in knowing what the cut mark will be; with a probable round of 68 required to make the weekend.
Americans Peter Malnati and Jason Kokrak, and Chile's Joaquin Niemann shot rounds of eight-under 62 to share the lead.
