Local trainer Henry De Bromhead sent out his second winner of Cheltenham 2020 when 5/2 chance Honeysuckle produced an impressive turn of pace to capture the Grade 1 Mare's Hurdle defeating the hot favourite Benie Des Dieux in the process.
Speaking to reporters after the race the Knockeen trainer says they made the right decision to send out Honeysuckle saying "it was very close, between us all thankfully we came up with the right one.
"What a ride, my god the way she got up the inside there coming around the last turn, she is just brilliant, two amazing ladies together."
The winning jockey was Rachael Blackmore:
"She's just such a special mare, for her to be produced like that every day she runs is unbelievable.
"She is so tough, she is such a credit to everyone who looks after her. Henry has her produced in tip-top shape every day she goes racing.
"It's such a pleasure to be involved with her."
