Tipperary have made it two wins from two in the Munster Hurling Championship after comfortably beating Waterford 2-30 to 18 points at Semple Stadium this afternoon.

Man of the match Jason Forde and Captain Seamus Callanan got the goals for Tipp.

The Deise finished with 14 men after Conor Gleeson was sent off for two yellow cards and the loss means their hopes of progressing beyond the round robin system are extremely slim after losing to Clare last weekend.

The Premier attacked were razor sharp again this afternoon with some top quality points throughout, following good delivery from out the field, they lead by six at the change of ends (0-16 to 0-10).

Waterford did end the half strongly with three quick fire points thanks to Austin Gleeson and a brace of Pauric Mahony frees.

The visitors continued to take the game to Tipp and the second half and reduced the deficit to three points by the 54th minute with Austin Gleeson, Tommy Ryan and Pauric Mahony on target.

Tipp upped the anti from here on in and Forde's goal gave them the imputes to drive on which they duly did, Barry Heffernan, Forde and the impressive Michael Breen all worked the scoreboard as the home side hit scores at ease.

John McGrath finished with 0-5 for Liam Sheedy's side who coasted to a 2-30 to 0-18 victory.
