Waterfords Seamus Power will get his final round of the Barbasol Championship underway at 7.30 Irish time this evening.
The Tooranena man is three shots off the pace of J.T Poston, who leads on 19 under in Kentucky.
Seamus shot a third-round 67 for a score of 16 under and a share of fifth.
Based on the most recent predictions on the FedEx cup rankings, Seamus looks set to claim 110th spot if can maintain his current position - an improvement of 13 places from his 123rd standing going into the tournament.
For his third round outing, Power notched seven birdies - with five on his front nine - and just his second and third bogeys of the tournament.
A superb long-range put for birdie on the fourth kick-started his challenge for the round.
The below-par score on the fourth was followed up by two more birdies on the 5th and 6th and 8th which saw him through the front nine in 32.
His back nine, while not as exciting, was solid and secure. One bogey, but two birdies and six level scores saw him make the journey home one 1 under.
As well as earning much needed FedEx cup points, a fifth-place finish today would see him cash a cheque for $135,000. While a surge up the leaderboard - even though unlikely to see him reel in JT Poston, could see Seamus net $630,000 for his troubles.
