De La Salle are the first team through to the senior hurling quarter finals after beating Ballyduff Upper by 21 points in Fraher Field last night (3-25 to 0-13).
Full forwards Jack Fagan and Cormac McCann scored 3-12 between them, 2-8 for Fagan and 1-4 for McCann. Nine players got on the scoresheet by full time.
Salle boss Brian Phelan said that they were hungry to pick up their third win of the campaign. "We outworked them tonight; we were probably up for it a bit more. We trained hard in the last few weeks so I was expecting a big performance to be honest."
