The RSC has been nominated by the FAI for the Pitch of the Year Award.
The Waterford venue is up against Tallaght Stadium - the home of Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda United's United Park.
FAI Pitch Consultant Richard Hayden (Hayden Turfcare) will visit each ground in the coming days before the overall winner is announced later this month.
Darren Sealy the manager of the RSC says the nomination is down to the hard work of his staff.
"It's great to have a little bit of recognition, it shows all the hard work from myself and all the lads here.
"We've won it twice, it would be great to win it a third time, I don't think anyone has ever won it three times.
"It wouldn't be able to do it the lads working here, there's a great team here.
"They all take the same pride in it as I do, which makes my job a lot easier."

The FAI's Head of Facility Development Walter Holleran said the shortlist shows the quality of pitches in the Premier and First Divisions over the 2019 season.
"I wish to congratulate all three venues and their staff for the work on preparing and maintaining their venues to a very good standard.
"The standard of pitches within the SSE Airtricity Leagues are constantly improving and the shortlisted group are very much to the top in terms of pitch quality."
The 2019 winners will take the crown from Longford Town after the First Division club won the honour in 2018.
