Franny Rockett has departed Waterford FC.
The Tramore native took over as caretaker manager during the latter period of season 2020 following the departure of Alan Reynolds and John Sheridan. He was the first team coach at the RSC for the past four years.
The affable Rockett said he was disappointed to be leaving the club but wished them well for the future:
"It's been fantastic working for Waterford FC for the past four years with some of the best players, coaches and staff in the League of Ireland. I would like to thank Alan Reynolds for giving me the opportunity to work in professional football. His loyalty to me has been second to none. Working with John Sheridan was also football education and we had some memorable games together. I wish the fans, and the club every success for the coming season. It's been a real honour to represent Waterford Football Club during the past four years."
