Waterford camogie captain Niamh Rockett is the June winner of the WLR/Granville Hotel GAA award.
The St Annes' forward scored 1-2 from play in a player of the match performance against Dublin at Walsh Park to inspire the Deise to their first win of the All Ireland series.
She was surprised to find the back of the net.
Niamh's family are her biggest supporters. Her Dad and her brother both played for Waterford; "Oh yeah phenomenal support like, I don't think my father has missed any match, all his side of the family would be into hurling and GAA and I've no doubt my aunt will have it on in the big screen down in her pub in Portlaw, we're all very much into it I suppose".
She says that the back garden was very competitive when she was younger.
Waterford will take on Galway in the All Ireland quarter finals tomorrow evening at Semple Stadium. Throw in is at 7.15 and we'll have updates on WLR.
A massive thank you @DeiseInDub for their kind sponsorship towards our senior team.
