Ballinacourty and Rathgormack will meet in the county senior football final for the very first time on October 20.

Rathgormack reached the decider for the first time in 18 years after a dominant 0-14 to 0-8 win over Stradbally. Conor Murray kicked four points from play while Paudie Hunt made a vital penalty save from Kevin Lawlor. Manager Ger Power said that this win will give them huge belief ahead of the final.

Ballinacourty are back in the final after a three-year absence. They got five of the last six points to end The Nire's reign as county champions (0-16 to 1-9). David Looby converted seven frees while Neil Montgomery struck three from play.

A Shane O'Meara penalty hit the post for the Nire with ten minutes left. Dylan Guiry raised a green flag in the sixth minute.
