Seamus Power is in a tie for fourth at the Bermuda Championship.
The Waterford native carded an opening-round 67 at Port Royal Golf Course in the company of Graeme McDowell and Dylan Fratelli.
Starting from the front nine Power carded three bogeys before the turn following up with two more below-par scores after the turn.
His impressive long-range put on the 14th was one to remember and helped in his efforts to get in contention after the first day of play.
