Seamus Power goes in to the final round of the Barracuda Championship well in contention.

This PGA Tour event is being played under a slightly different rule set compared to a normal week in golf. It is the only event on the PGA TOUR featuring the exciting Modified Stableford scoring format.

Rather than counting the total number of strokes taken as in typical stroke play golf, a Modified Stableford involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole. Good play earns points and poor play takes away points.

Double Eagle: 8 points
Eagle: 5 points
Birdie: 2 points
Par: 0 points
Bogey: -1 point
Double Bogey or more: -3 points

Seamus has played well so far this weekend and currently trails the leader Troy Merritt by eight points.

He has birdied 13 times across three rounds, eagled once but unfortunately has had 3 double bogies and 1 bogey leaving him with a score of 22 so far.

This event is the lowest paying on the PGA Tour with a pot of $3.5 million available.

Seamus tee's off tonight after 10 o clock
