Séamus Power takes to the famed course at Sawgrass this evening as he begins his bid to capture the Player’s Championship on the PGA Tour.
The Touraneena native, currently sitting 50th in the world rankings, has missed the cut at his last three tournaments, and is in need of a good week to cement his place in the world’s top 50, a standing which would allow him to book a place in a first major, the Augusta Masters, in April.
2019 champion Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are also part of the field, where Séamus takes to the tee box from 6.18pm Irish time.
Power is in the company of Luke List & Taylor Moore.
McIlroy tees off from 5.56pm in the company of Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas, while Lowry is the first of the Irish out at the Player's Championship, he’s in action from 1.24, with Lucas Glover & Matthew Wolff.
