Waterford FC defender Alex Baptiste has expressed his amazement with the technical ability of his Blues teammate Phoenix Patterson.
The Scottish winger scored his third free-kick in as many games yesterday as the Blues came from behind to defeat Longford Town 2-1 and move second in the table in doing so.
Speaking afterward in Bishopsgate, Baptiste said Waterford are lucky to have a player of Patterson's quality in their ranks.
"I've never seen anyone score free kicks like they're easy. He scored an unbelievable goal in the FAI Cup. He's an unbelieveable player. We're really very lucky to have him. He's a fantastic asset for this club."
Patterson's free-kick last night was almost a carbon copy of his previous efforts in the past 8 days - as he found the net with a dead ball versus Bray Wanderers on September 25th and Cobh Ramblers on September 30th.
Another day, another Phoenix Patterson free-kick goal 🤷♂️
