No draw will be needed to decide the semi-finalists of this year's All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
It's due to the fact that Limerick and Kilkenny, as winners of the Munster and Leinster championships, will not face the teams they beat in the finals.
The fixtures will instead be decided following this weekends quarter-finals.
Depending on the outcome of both quarter-finals, if Waterford beat Tipperary they will face either Limerick or Kilkenny in the semi-finals.
The laws of the championship state that, where possible, in the semi-finals, provincial champions should not meet the defeated finalists from their own province, or any other repeat pairings.
Limerick beat Tipperary in the Munster final, so if Tipperary beat Waterford on Saturday they will face Killkenny in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Kilkenny defeated Dublin in the Leinster Final, therefore if Dublin beat Cork, they will face Limerick.
However if Waterford and Cork progress, we will face Limerick as Cork have already faced them.
And if Waterford and Dublin progress, we face Kilkenny to avoid a repeat of the Leinster final.
Either way, no draw is needed, and The Deise know that if they overcome Tipperary this weekend, either the All Ireland champions Limerick or Leinster champions Kilkenny are their next opponents.
Don't forget we will have full coverage of this weekend's game here on WLR from 1:15pm with commentary team Kieran O Connor and Fergal Hartley, all thanks to George Corbett Skoda.
