A new body overseeing football in Waterford has been agreed.
The Waterford and District Junior League has confirmed the appointment of committee officers and roles for the 2020/2021 season:
It will be Chaired by John Foskin with Damien Tiernan (Vice Chairman), Derek Doheny (Secretary/Administrator), Brendan White (Registrar), Bill Gourley (Assistant Registrar), Ger Murphy (Fixtures Secretary), Damien Tiernan (Covid Officer), Paddy Byrne (Assistant Covid Officer), Bill Gourley (Child Welfare Officer), Brendan White (PRO) and Kevin O’Hanlon (Assistant PRO)
The committee said remaining roles will be filled in due course. At the meeting, Barbara Scannell was also co-opted onto the new league committee.
The new committee said they would now set about ensuring the Waterford and District Junior League is ready to resume footballing activities when it is deemed safe to do so.
