Brian Murphy has quenched speculation that he has left the club amid rumours this week.
The veteran goalkeeper was absent from the Blues matchday squad for Friday night when Bohemians visited the RSC.
The manager Kevin Sheedy opted for rookie Paul Martin to mind the sticks in what was a 1-nil defeat to the Dublin outfit. After the game, Sheedy would not comment on his selection but did sing the praises of the young shot-stopper.
"I thought Paul was outstanding in the game; really made some good saves and he got a tip onto the free-kick to put onto the bar -we just switched off defensively. We didn't follow the ball in and they get the goal from that."
Last night, Murphy released a statement on social media addressing the rumours that he had handed in his notice at Kilbarry.
