Munster Rugby have revealed that one of their academy players has tested positive for Covid-19.

The player is part of the wider training squad at the province, and is currently being assisted as Munster awaits Health Service Executive (HSE) guidance.

The player has not been in Munster’s High Performance Centre this week.

“In taking all precautionary measures, Munster Rugby have immediately identified three Academy players and one senior player as potential close contacts and they have already commenced self-isolating,” a statement read.
