Man United and Liverpool face off this afternoon in Old Trafford for an FA CUP tie to decide who will go on to face West Ham on February 10th.

In the last four meetings of Klopp and Solskjær, the German has been victorious once (2-0) with the other three fixtures ending in draws (0-0, 1-1 & 0-0).

The most recent fixture was a nil-all draw at Anfield.

With that stalemate game on Merseyside included – United have returned 2.5 goals per game in 7 of their last 12. Similarly, in FA Cup ties, the Red Devils have under 2.5 goals per game against Premier League opposition, spelling an unpromising prospect for today’s tie.

However, Solskjær’s side have clinched four of their last five home games and have gone unbeaten at home in seven. On the other side, Liverpool have won just one game in their last six – with the loss to Burnley still fresh in the memory.

A statistic that Manchester fans will be happy to hear is that United have knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup more than any other team in the history of the competition.
