Mac an tSaoir takes charge of the Déise ladies

Former Kerry goalkeeper Tomás Mac an tSaoir is the new Waterford ladies football manager.

The current An Rinn shot stopper succeeds Pat Sullivan who guided the Déise to the All Ireland quarter finals in 2024. He will be joined on the sideline next year by Richie Waring, Liam Ó Lonáin, Darragh Corcoran and Eimear McCarthy.

Mac an tSaoir previously worked under Shane Ronayne with the Cork ladies, the Déise footballers and the Tipperary ladies. He has lined out for An Rinn over the past two seasons after transferring from An Ghaeltacht.

Mac an tSaoir won an All Ireland Under 21 medal with Kerry in 2008 and an All Ireland junior title in 2017. He played National League for the Kingdom in 2011 and 2012 and was understudy to Brendan Kealy for the 2011 All Ireland final defeat to Dublin. The An Ghaeltacht goalkeeper also picked up a Munster minor medal in the green and gold jersey.
