Derek Lyons has been ratified as the Waterford camogie boss for 2022.
The Dungarvan club man will be joined on the line by selectors John Burns & Catherine O'Donnell.
Lyons guided the Deise to the All-Ireland Quarter-Finals this year, where they were defeated by Tipperary.
Following that defeat, Lyons said that he would sit down and reflect - but with the support of the county board, he has now been confirmed as the man to lead the team forward.
“I’ve done my year; I was asked to do a year. I enjoyed it; I really did and I know the team I had with me really enjoyed it as well. It’s been a mixed bag but I do believe we have made progress in terms of the future of the adult camogie team. I’ve really enjoyed it and I’d like to thank the girls for the effort and the respect that they’ve given me and my management team during the year. Once the dust settles, there will be time to start looking at next year."
Injuries to key players such as Beth Carton and Sibeal Harney toward the business end of the championship proved unfortunate for Lyons and his team.
The Deise ladies were victorious over Down and had great battles with both Cork and Tipperary, and Lyons has been adamant on multiple occasions that there is more than enough talent within the squad to progress past the All-Ireland Quarter-Finals for the first time.
