Liam Cahill has stepped down as the Waterford senior hurling manager after three seasons in charge of the Déise.

The news was confirmed in a statement by the Waterford GAA County Board this lunchtime.

Cahill’s announcement comes as his native county Tipperary parted company with Colm Bonnar yesterday.

In a statement, Waterford GAA thanked Liam for his services, as he guided the Déise to a National Hurling League title in April of this year, as well as the 2020 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final.
