Today is set to be John Sheridan's last game in charge of the Blues having been in charge of the side for 65 days.

The manager has been heavily linked with a move two League One side Wigan Athletic and speculation is mounting as to whether he will remain in charge after the away game to Bohemians in the League Of Ireland this evening.

Having managed seven games since his arrival in in late July, Sheridan has managed two wins - 1 nil in his first game away to Shels and a 3 nil victory at home to St Pats.

The League One side face administration due to financial issues and had already been docked 12 points in the previous league table - all the while, new owners are being sought to take over the club and provide some fiscal stability.

If the move is confirmed, Sheridan will be taking over a side with little surety of their future.

Before any move is made, there still remains the task at hand of second placed Bohemians this evening in Dalymount Park.

Boh's trail Shamrock Rovers by 5 points in the League Table having been beaten by Rovers 1 nil last week.

Waterford are levelon points (14) with Dundalk and trail Sligo, who are in third, by just a single point.

It is expected that an announcement will come after the game tonight that Sheridan will depart for England, but as it stands no statement has been made by the club in relation to the departure.
