Kilkenny will have the psychological edge over rivals Tipperary in Sundays All Ireland Hurling Final.

That's according to former Kilkenny player Jackie Tyrrell

Sundays game promises to be a massive clash as favourites Tipperary and a newly revitalised Kilkenny go head to head at Croke Park.

Nine-time All Ireland winner Jackie Tyrell told WLR sport that he believes history will favour the Cats: "If you look and the last 10-15 years Kilkenny have gotten more wins than Tipperary, they have beaten them in games that they shouldn't have. I think in the league final even last year Kilkenny, with a new team coming and Tipperary, very well established and still they couldn't beat us.

When there is a big game like an All Ireland Final with 10 minutes to go and you are going down the final hurdle its the team that are psychologically strongest and Kilkenny have that psychological advantage over Tipperary and it could be a card that they'll play."
