Michael Kiely flicked home a last gasp goal as Dungarvan beat cross town rivals Abbeyside 2-17 to 3-12 in a dramatic local derby at Fraher Field last night.
Four goals arrived in a frantic closing ten minutes. Abbeyside’s Michael Kiely, who scored 2-4 from full forward, deflected the ball in on 54 minutes to put them three points up. Dungarvan went down the other end and Joe Allen found the top corner. In the first minute of injury time, Mark Ferncombe whipped to the net to give Peter Queally’s men the initiative (3-12 to 1-16).
Dungarvan didn’t lie down however as Ryan Donnelly struck his seventh of the night before Kiely got a touch to Gavin Crotty’s high ball in the third added minute.

One of the most exiting club matches I’ve seen for a long time. Dungarvan v Abbeyside certainly lived up to expectations #waterfordgaa
