Kate Lynch played a major part in Waterford's Munster Minor A camogie win in August.
They were champions for the first time after a hard earned 2-11 to 1-11 win over Cork in Fermoy
Two goals from Abby Flynn put them seven points clear after 16 minutes but Cork fought back strongly in the second half. Seven points by Kaiesha Tobin and a player of the match performance by Kate Lynch helped the Déise to a historic victory.
The Gaultier defender stopped numerous Cork attacks and drove her side forward to a famous win
Kate also lined out with the Déise senior side this season and Donal O' Rourke's charges went to the All-Ireland Quarter-Finals where they were beaten by Tipperary.
