After shooting 3-10 in their All Ireland quarter final loss to Kilkenny, Cork ace Patrick Horgan is a cert for his fourth All Star. He completed the championship with 7-62.
GAA commentator Mac Dara Mac Donncha thinks that the Glen Rovers forward could add another award to his collection. "Patrick Horgan at the moment is hurler of the year." There is still three heavyweight matches to play however. "If you're knocked out in the quarter finals, as good as you have been, you haven't played on the biggest day of all or the second biggest day. As it stands, he is hurler of the year."
Mac Dara selected his July All Stars on Friday's Lár Na Páirce with Limerick leading the way on five picks and he also predicted next week's All Ireland semi finals. Listen back to the full interview below.
