Waterford hurling legend John Mullane says his religion is helping him cope during the coronavirus crisis.

The five-time All-Star says he's been doing "an awful lot of praying" recently.

He was speaking to former Offaly hurler Brian Carroll on his podcast, A Hurler's Life.

Mullane says people might be surprised to hear about his faith:

"People might say, 'Jeez, I wouldn’t have thought he was like that'. At every opportunity I get, I’ve taken church back into my life, going back to church.

"You might ask me, 'Well, what do you believe in?' I believe there’s a God and within the last 10 days, 14 days I’ve been doing an awful lot of praying."
