Waterford's Jayson Molumby has signed a contract extension with EFL Championship club West Bromwich Albion, which will keep him at the club until 2028.
The Republic of Ireland international is in a fine spell of form at present, winning Man of the Match in their draw against high-flying Sheffield United, before starring in a 3-1 win against Preston North End and providing an assist in yesterday's drawn game against Swansea.

The 25-year-old, who arrived at The Hawthorns in July 2021, has to date made 124 appearances for the Baggies, scoring seven goals.
Jayson said: “I’ve been at the club since 2021 and it’s a place where I feel really happy. There are so many good people here who I love being around every single day and I’m delighted to be extending my contract. I’ve been pleased with my performances this season, but everyone knows I want to get even better, and I believe I’m on the right track to doing that here at Albion. We all want to be successful this season and I’m completely focused on giving everything I’ve got every week to help us achieve what we want to achieve.”
Sporting Director Andrew Nestor added: "Jayson’s play and commitment on the pitch has been important to the team and we are delighted to have agreed this new contract with him.
We continue to move forward with our squad planning strategy that we began implementing in the Summer. Nothing has changed in that respect, and we want to ensure players like Jayson know they are a focal part of those plans. This new contract is recognition of the contribution he is making to the team."
West Brom are currently sixth in the table, one point ahead of Blackburn Rovers in the playoff places, and 12 points behind Burnley in the race for automatic promotion.
