Waterford and Fourmilewater midfielder Jamie Barron has been named as the PWC GAA/GPA Player of the Month for July.
The three-time All-Star was at his brilliant best in wins over Galway and Tipperary for the Deise, while also having an influence off the bench in their qualifier victory over Laois.
Barron hit 0-04 from midfield against Tipperary, forming a great partnership in the middle of the field with Ballygunner man Peter Hogan, the pair contributing 0-07 between them.
Barron also came up with 0-04 against Galway - and notched 0-02 in the weekend's defeat to Limerick in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final, being the only Deise player to make the GAA Team of the Week.
Barron's brilliant performances will have him in contention for a fourth All-Star at the end of the season, a feat only ever achieved by two other Deise men - Michael 'Brick' Walsh (4) and John Mullane (5)
