The Waterford footballers suffered an eleven point loss to Tipperary in the Munster quarter final at Semple Stadium last night (0-20 to 0-9 the final score).
The visitors set up defensively and trailed by seven points to three at the break with Gavin Crotty and Tommy Prendergast on target.
Tipperary took over in the third quarter and top scorer Liam McGrath finished with nine points as the Premier set up a provincial semi final against Cork.
In spite of the loss, Deise boss Tom McGlinchey said he was happy with how the three championship debutants performed.

Tipp manager Liam Kearns blasted the Munster Council for giving them only a week to prepare for Cork.
He said that Kerry or Cork wouldn't be treated in the same manner.
