"It was the draw that everyone wanted"

Abbeyside boss Peter Queally wasn't surprised to see Dungarvan come out of the hat as their Waterford SHC quarter final opponents.

"We probably all expected it to be honest! We had a 50-50 chance of playing Dungarvan and it was almost inevitable that we would be drawn against them. It's a great draw for us, for them, for the county board, for neutrals and for supporters. It was the draw that everyone wanted."

Queally told WLR that Abbeyside is his sole focus at the moment. The former Waterford midfielder is believed to be in the running for the vacant Déise hurling post.
