With increased restrictions expected in the coming days - the national conversation has taken a very pointed view towards the GAA and whether or not games should be going ahead.
Government ministers are meeting today to discuss how we move forward and Gaelic games are set to be part of that discussion.
John Fogarty of the Irish Examiner joined Nigel for On The Ball on Saturday to make a case for why intercounty games could be played.
"Its not like your club championship in that there's so much variables - there's not as many when it comes to the intercounty season. If Dublin do win a Leinster championship again this year, we're not going to be hearing about an outbreak of cases because they socialised."
"Intercounty payers know what to do. We've already heard the expression form a few of them this week that they're living like hermits, that they almost feel like they're living in a bubble"
