The Waterford camogie team will face Wexford in the Division 2 semi finals on Sunday at Netwatch Cullen Park.
The Déise had a big win over Tipperary last time out in Dungarvan. Goalkeeper Brianna O'Regan said that conditions were deplorable. "Absolutely terrible. I was out on the 45 at one stage trying to get a bit of heat back into me. I had three jumpers on me and I was running around in circles! If anyone saw me, they would have thought I was off my head! The ball got lost in the ground at one stage and they had to get a replacement. I don't know how it went ahead but thank god we came out with the win."
O'Regan has emerged as one of the top netminders in the game, saving penalties against Westmeath and Down in recent years. Mags D’Arcy and Brendan Cummins were her idols growing up. "I always looked up to Mags D'Arcy. She is as mad as a hatter and I think I'm mad as well for playing on the goal! Mags D'Arcy for Wexford in the camogie and Brendan Cummins. He was phenomenal when he played for Tipperary. His puckouts, his use of the ball and the way he read the game as well. I'd always zone in on the way he read the game, especially the penalties, he was very good at them."
