Gary Hurley's quest for a full card on next season's DP World Tour is over after a fourth round of one under par 70 wasn't enough to lift him into the top 65 and ties ahead of this evening's cut at the Q School Final Stage in Tarragona Spain.

Hurley started the day from three under but with the cut settled on seven under, the West Waterford golfer will have to be content with Challenge Tour status for 2025.

The Royal Dublin amateur Max Kennedy is through to the final two rounds after a round of 70 sees him on 8 under and inside the top fifty though he needs two big final rounds to make the top twenty and ties who will secure a full tour card.

Northern Ireland's Dermot McElroy is also on his way home after finishing on level par.
