Full-time: The Republic of Ireland have lost 1-0 to Finland in their Nations League match in Helsinki.

Ireland have now lost all of their eight Nations League ties. They started confidently but a Fredrik Jensen strike in the 66th minute hit the back of the net following an error by keeper Darren Randolph.

Jayson Molumby had a good chance ten minutes into the second half with a clear race down the right flank after good work from Shane Duffy. The Cappoquin midfielder lifted it to the near post, but it was claimed by the keeper.

15:37 Update: Stephen Kenny has named his starting squad for this evening's game against Finland and it will include Waterford's Jayson Molumby.

Manager Stephen Kenny's side are still searching for their first win of the campaign, as they take on Finland in Helsinki.

Kenny has Aaron Connolly and Adam Idah back in his squad - both were originally ruled out of the Slovakia game last week due to Covid contact tracing, for what proved to be a false positive test.

Waterford's Jayson Molumby will be hoping to add to his man of the match display against Wales on Sunday, it'll be a third international senior cap for the Cappoquin man should he get the nod to start. We will find out in the next few hours.

Jayson's uncle Martin Reddy from Cappoquin Railway AFC says everyone is really proud of his achievements to date:

"I know for a fact that if my mother was alive she'd be one of the proudest women in the country...she knew he was a gifted footballer even from a really young age."

Martin says his nephew is driven and always wants to be better and better every time he gets on the pitch.

Speaking to Gavin Whelan, Martin said it has given everyone in a boost to see Jayson perform at the highest level.

Kick off in  Helsinki is at 5pm Irish time. So far, Ireland has had draws against Bulgaria and Wales as well as the Euro 2020 play-off defeat against Slovakia last week
