Double chance for Henry de Bromhead with two charges in today's Galway Plate

Today's feature behind closed doors at the Galway Races is the Plate.

The Gordon Elliott trained 'Galvin' is the current favourite of 22 runners for the 2 mile 6 furlong chase at 6.45.

Local trainer Henry De Bromhead is doubly represented with useful seven pound claimer Hugh Morgan taking the mount on Sub Lieutenant while Rachael Blackmore partners Spyglass Hill.

The first of eight races goes to post at 4.45.
