Gailltír have begun the defence of their Munster and All-Ireland Intermediate titles in winning style by making it through to their third Munster Final in a row after seeing off Cork side Enniskeane this afternoon.
The two sides entered half-time with 7 points a piece, but Gailltír steamed ahead in the second half to win the match 1-17 to Enniskeane's 9 points.
It was a tough battle in extremely windy conditions out in Ballymabin.
Manager Orla Murphy said "it was hard, it was a tough game under the weather conditions we played under today.. it was more of a battle for possession... the girls battled hard and took off the scores when needed".
There are no injury worries ahead of next Sunday's final against Thurles Sarsfield, which is just as well, as Orla says they will be strong competition:
"They came down from senior last year to play so they will be strong, they'll be a tough outfit, but look we can only play who we meet, it's all on the day".
