It's a busy day of action in the County Senior hurling Championship as the remaining Quarter-Final play-offs take centre stage in Fraher Field.

This afternoon's double header gets underway at 2pm where Mount Sion will be fancied to account for last year's Intermediate champions, An Rinn.

'Sion accounted for Lismore in their final group game, while the Ghaeltacht side are coming into this one following three defeats.

Speaking to WLR Sport, An Rinn manager Padraig Ó hArtaigh says preperations have gone well since their defeat to Abbeyside.

That'll be followed by the clash of Fourmilewater and Roanmore at 3:30pm.

Both sides narrowly missed out on the automatic Quarter-Final places and have produced some very close contests over recent seasons.

The action concludes with an-all Western affair in Fraher Field this evening between Dungarvan and Lismore.

Lismore made an impressive return to the senior grade last season, reaching the semi-finals going down narrowly to Ballygunner.

Dungarvan drew their final group game against De La Salle, but are set to be missing some key players this evening.

Throw-in is at 7pm, and the draw for the Quarter-Finals will be made later this evening.

Meanwhile, there's one game this afternoon in the Eastern Intermediate hurling Championship.

St. Saviour's and Ferrybank meet in Walsh Park for a 4:30 throw-in.

In last night's action, a late winner by Tommy Daly sent Tallow through to the quarter finals of the county senior hurling championship last night. The Bridesiders defeated neighbours Ballyduff Upper 3-22 to 1-27 after extra time in Lismore.

Mark O'Brien, Thomas Ryan and Jordan Henley found the net for Johnny Geary's men. Eoghan Murray scored eighteen points for Ballyduff but finished on the losing side.
