A number of local sporting fixtures in Waterford have been postponed today.
Today's games in the county minor football championship and the Western football championship have been postponed due to the orange weather alert.
The semi finals of Waterford ladies football championship will also have to be rescheduled.
The County Cross Country Championships due to be held in St Augustine's College Grounds Abbeyside on Sunday has been cancelled.

They will go ahead on Sunday October 6th at the same venue with the same programme of events.
All local soccer fixtures which were scheduled for today have also been cancelled.
