Waterford FC lost to Finn Harps for the third time this season last night at Finn Park.
A seventh-minute header from Joshua Smith gave the home side the win.
Matthew Connor saved the Blues on 70 minutes when he managed to keep out an effort from Nathan Boyle who had got onto a cross.
Finn Harp's Mark McGinley produced his first save of the game from Dean Walshe shortly afterwards and he saved again from Michael O'Connor on 87 minutes following good work by Zack Elbouzedi.
However the Blues had to leave Donegal empty-handed.
