Former Déise boss Derek McGrath has led Doon to their first ever Limerick Senior Hurling Championship crown.
They defeated Na Piarsaigh 0-16 to 2-9 in the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship Final at the Gaelic Grounds, having come from six points down.
Doon’s challenge was led by Limerick star Adam English, who contributed 0-10 to the cause for a side who had four previous county final heartbreaks.
The stage is now set for McGrath and Doon to meet Waterford’s Ballygunner in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship Quarter-Final on Sunday, November 3rd.
