The Waterford ladies football team retained their senior status with a nail biting 3-13 to 1-13 victory over Tipperary in Callan this afternoon.

Maria Delahunty scored 1-7 for Pat Sullivan's side including an injury time penalty to extend their stay in the top flight.
Michelle Ryan netted two first half goals while Aileen Wall kicked three points from play.

Tipperary will now face Cavan to decide which team drops to intermediate for 2019.
