Beth Carton says the rise of camogie in the county has given the senior squad huge incentive going into the season ahead.
The De la Salle forward became Waterford's first camogie all-star last November after hitting 3-36 for the Déise in last year's championship.
Speaking after being crowned the ovreall winner of the 2018 WLR / Granville Hotel GAA Award on Saturday night, Beth says camogie is really thriving.
Beth says the younger players coming through to the senior squad have added a lot to the panel.
Beth told WLR Sport, winning the all-star came as a big surprise.
