A man of the match display from Waterford defender Shane McNulty and 1-3 from full forward Thomas Douglas saw De La Salle emerge 1-20 to 1-16 victors over Mount Sion after a thrilling semi final tussle in Walsh Park.
The Gracedieu outfit got seven of the last eight points to reach their second final in three seasons.
Austin Gleeson scored five points for Sion while Ian O'Regan made two wonder saves.
Salle will seek to stop Ballygunner's six in a row on October 13 in a repeat of the 2017 decider.

Shane McNulty was glad to make it back to the final after losing to Abbeyside twelve months ago; "the aim objective today was just to get over the line, we know what we were coming into there it's always a battle between ourselves and Mount Sion, it was absolutely frantic there for the last ten minutes"
Shane says Mount Sion came with a massive challenge.
Manager Brian Phelan felt that they came good in the final quarter; "it was the same as the Roanmore game, it was always going to go to the last few minutes, lucky enough we had a couple of players who stood up there in the last ten minutes and got us over the line".
