This weekend the curtain will be drawn on the Club Hurling Championship in a year like no other.
The GAA came out of lock down with high spirits - people were once again able to attend events like they did in the days pre-covid. Ticket numbers were limited to forty per team, but beggars cant be choosers in such times.
Now the GAA has gone fully behind closed doors for the foreseeable future and people have turned to online streams and radio to get their fix of Gaelic games.
The quality of games have thankfully, not suffered. The club championship has turned up some fantastic performances and results across the county, but ultimately the Senior County Final has boiled down as expected (at least on one side of the draw) with Ballygunner defending their status as the best team in the county and in doing so, attempting to claim a 7th straight title.
The Gunners are 37 games unbeaten at this point (if anyone is still counting) and the team who will be aiming to dethrone them are Passage - managed by Michael Walsh.
The game throws in at Walsh Park on Sunday at 2 o clock, but before that we will have buildup on WLR from 1.30 with live commentary starting at 1.45 thanks to George Corbett Skoda and commentary team Kieran O' Connor and Derek McGrath.
