€284K profit for 2021 for Waterford County Board

The Waterford county board has made a profit of €284,000 in its 2021 accounts.
 After posting a deficit of €216,000 in 2020, secretary Pat Flynn welcomed the financial turnaround in his annual report which was distributed to clubs this week.
John Jackson has stepped down as county treasurer. The Ballyduff Upper man held the role for seven years and previously served as Waterford PRO.
Income from gate receipts, sponsorship and fundraising all increased over the past year.
The cost of county teams fell by €87,000. The Waterford senior footballers came in at €100,000, a drop of €114,000 on the previous year. The spend on the senior hurlers increased from €398,000 to €444,000.
