The inter-county minor and under-20 championships could be scrapped for this year, with confusion over what Gaelic games can continue once Level 5 restrictions kick in tonight.
Reports this morning suggest only senior inter-county games will be allowed to go ahead.
There are three games scheduled in the Leinster under-20 hurling championship this evening, while Waterford are due to play Tipperary in Fraher field in the Munster semi-final on Monday.
A statement from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has said any decision on whether underage championship games can continue is "still being clarified".
RTÉ Sport is reporting that GAA officials in Croke Park are planning to discuss the latest developments at a meeting later this morning and to seek further clarification from the Government.
Galway GAA chairman Pat Kearney has told his local radio station that the county board received confirmation from Croke Park this morning that the All-Ireland U20 football final between Dublin and Galway will not be played this Saturday.
