Cognizant will sponsor the Waterford hurling and football teams in 2023.

The US company acquired data intelligence firm TQS Integration in Lismore in 2021 and their name will appear on the back of the Déise jerseys for the coming season. TQS will stay on the front. Waterford managers Davy Fitzgerald and Ephie Fitzgerald were in attendance for the launch last week along with hurlers Austin Gleeson, Conor Gleeson and Tom Barron and footballers Conor Murray and Paudie Hunt.

Jim Lehane, Global Leader of Life Sciences Manufacturing with Cognizant, opened proceedings. “We are very proud to continue the sponsorship this year and to be associated with Waterford GAA. Cognizant is on the back of the Waterford jersey and for the teams this year, Cognizant has your back. We'd like to wish you all the best and every success in the championship this year.”

County board chairman Sean Michael O'Regan is glad to have Cognizant involved. “For us, this started a couple of years ago with TQS and it's great to see that Cognizant have kept it going for 2023. We're delighted with that. It's so important that Cognizant have our back. It's wonderful to have such a professional outfit in partnership with us again.”
