Thirty thousand fans will be permitted to attend the All-Ireland Camogie final in Croke Park this September.

The knockout stages of the All-Ireland Championships was launched today. In what promises to be a thrilling double-header, Waterford will play Tipperary in Páirc Uí Chaoimh at 6.45 in the quarter-final stage on Saturday. That game is preceded by the meeting of Kilkenny and Wexford at 5pm in the same venue.

Uachtarán/President of the Camogie Association, Hilda Breslin said it was great to have the Championships back in their September calendar slot:

"Our teams have shown great resilience over the last year and in some ways, I think it’s given them a new lease of life and made them hungrier for the game. We have great sportswomen in this country and with Kellie Harrington’s recent Olympic win, we continue to see a great interest in women’s sport which is fantastic and I hope it continues with increased support. We are really looking forward to people coming safely together and cheering on their county teams in the upcoming matches and in particular, the All-Ireland final in Croke Park.  We’re definitely looking forward to having a large crowd back at the games again, we would urge people to turn their support for women’s sport into attendance at games.”
