It hasn't been the start that Craig Breen would have wanted in Kenya.
After five stages the Slieverue native is 6th in the standings but he can take some solace in the fact that he's just 22.6 seconds off the leader's pace.
That pace is being set by Elfyn Evans in his Toyota Yaris on a weekend that looks set to be dominated by the Japanese manufacturer.
The leaderboard is topped by Toyota from first to fourth indicating that they've gotten their safari set up right in comparison to Ford and Hyundai.
Breen is the second-fastest for M-Sport Ford with the veteran Sebastien Loeb setting the target for the Cumbrian team. The nine-time champion is unlikely to continue the weekend however as he was unable to return to service following stage 4 which will see Breen leapfrog the Frenchman into fifth.
Two more stages are scheduled for this afternoon with the sixth stage underway from half past 12 Irish time.
